The last show made in the studio before my move to Frankfurt. 48 Pictures were printed and numbered. Each visitor could take a photo with them, after filling up their name and email next to the number of the photo taken.
One day this archive will be readdressed.

In collaboration with Dr. Jiré Gözen
The installation To Kyo To contains 17 photographs from Ben Livne Weitzman and Jiré
Gözen, which were taken in Tokyo and Kyoto over the past 10 years. Partitioned in the
sequences Nature - Tradition - City, while following the rhythm of a Japanese Haiku poem
5-7-5 pattern, the images are being projected on layers of see-through fabric.
Floating in the space the images aim to transport the dreamlike feeling - almost like
sleepwalking - which both photographers describe as being part of their aesthetic
experience of Japan. Everything you see there can be only fragmentary and fuzzy: to
immerse in the seas of night lights of the city, abandoning ones mental and visual focus, to
dissolve in the unfamiliar yet comforting traditional world, and to regain clear mind and
focus in the restrained appearance of nature.
